Anthony studied at Queens’ College Cambridge before completing his clinical training at the Royal London Hospital. He initially trained in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine and worked in New Zealand for 18 months in the mid 1990s. After returning to the UK he decided to enter General Practice. He worked in Psychiatry and Paediatrics before completing GP training in Bath in 1999. He joined Wyndham House Surgery in 2002. He has been a Honorary Lecturer at the Peninsula Medical School since 2005. He has been teaching on the Exeter GP Vocational Training Scheme and training GPs at the surgery since 2009. He is Chair of Devon Local Medical Committee which is the statutory professional representative body for Devon GPs and their practices.
