Sometimes you may think you need to see a doctor about something that you don’t actually need to. Check out our list of Frequently Asked Questions that you don’t need to see a doctor for, and links to the relevant websites or phone numbers:

  • Early Pregnancy Advice – Please come into the surgery to pick up a Pregnancy Pack if you find out that you’re pregnant and make an appointment to see the Midwife either at Wyndham House Surgery or at the Tiverton Birthing Centre: 01884 235416. Maternity Forms will be given at Midwife appointment. You do not need to make an appointment with your GP unless you’re concerned about any symptoms.
  • The Margaret Jackson Centre – You may find that sometimes you experience emotional difficulties that you are unable to deal with, one-to-one counselling may be able to help. Please call 01392 256711 to enquire or visit the website. Please talk to your GP if you find yourself unable to cope.
  • Devon Recovery Learning Community – this fantastic organisation is a recovery college providing FREE courses for the wellbeing of people all across Devon. The courses include creativity, mindfulness, happiness, job support and many more. It is a self-referral organisation – for more information please visit their website www.recoverydevon.co.uk
  • GP Earnings – all GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.  Details for the last financial year
